Umm Ma'bad

About 30 km south-west of Makkah, Umm Ma'bad is where the Prophet ﷺ rested at noon after leaving the cave of Thawr. It is here Umm Ma'bad gave her famous, beautiful description of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ — and where the miracle of the goat that gave milk in abundance took place. We pass through here on Day 2.

Spiritual Significance

One of the most beloved scenes of the Hijrah. To camp here is to sit where Umm Ma'bad sat — and to hear her words about the Prophet ﷺ at the very place she spoke them.
