Madinah

From Al-Jithjathah we walk through Wadi Al-Aqeeq, Alzabyah way, Al-Hajeem and Harat Al-Osbah, arriving on foot at Quba — the first mosque of Islam — and entering Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah. The day closes at Masjid an-Nabawi, the Rawdah, and salam upon the Prophet ﷺ. The Ansar greeted the Prophet ﷺ here with Tala'al-Badru 'Alayna; arriving on foot lets you feel an echo of that welcome.

Spiritual Significance

Madinah is the destination of the Hijrah itself. Reaching it after three days walking the desert changes the way you stand in Masjid an-Nabawi for the rest of your life.
